Final Destination- Beijing

Thought of starting a travel Journal the next three days (the time I'm here at 'Jing)...
Entry one: Day of Arrival
So... We arrived in Beijing earlier today (early morning Sofia time, noon in Beijing). Went out shopping as soon as we established ourselves in the Hotel. Just came back... I was a witness of another episode of 'Bargein Fiasco', starring my dad (co-starring me)... Anywhoo... Looking forward to going to the Forbidden City tomorrow... We also came by the equivalent of a Bulgarian Cab driver, only chinese...
P.S: If anyone needs to know (Yes, I do mean you), I probably won't be using my skype on a regular basis here... One of the resons is having to share a computer, the other- being away from said computer, doing what a tourist does- sight seeing... Sorry... And I do miss ya...
Day two:
Today we made most of our sight-seeing destinations- The Great Wall, The Forbidden City and the Olimpics 'District' (couldn't really think of a better name)... We were taken round 'Jing (and its' immediate area) by a very polite and open driver... Grats to all Chinese people!! Well... Almost... While in the F. City we saw the Great Gathering of the People a.k.a- a Chinese crowd... Anywhoo... Before going back to the hotel, we went to a place where they sold some of the best green tea (and other teas)... From there we got a nice little box of the so-called 'Golden Tea' (Google it)... Not before another episode of 'Bargein Fiasco'... Anywhoo... Was a nice day out (if it weren't for the 40 degrees temp. mark...)... I also got myself a plaque saying I've been to the Great Wall...
On a side note: No BG keyoard means no BG comments... Sorry... Still miss ya...
Days three and four:
Ok... Yesterday I was too tired to update this little thing I shamelessly call a Journal...
Anywhoo...
Starting from yesterday:
It was a nice day out... Went to the Beijing Zoo, saw me some Giant Pandas and one very emo;like red panda... Poor thing... The Chinese Crowd was present as well, blocking most of the exhibits, but... What are you gonna do? Anywhoo... The Aquarium was cool, couldn't see the doplhin show, though ( Didn't seem as missing much...) A lot of fish... Think I had some of them for dinner onece or twice when in Doha...
From there we went to the Summer Palace, the Emperors' Summer Residence (for contact call 095-Heavens-Child)... Was grand... The crowd was grander, though... Saw that Marbel Boat that floats in the lake... It was humongous... Never thought a boat made entirely from marbel could actually stay alfoat, not to mention go around the place...
After that (and getting pissed off by a couple of ricshaw drivers that wanted 50 yuans...) we went to that famous Zungha... Something-something (try and pronounce it, please, I can't!!) Tech Area... Basically a place the size of downtown Sofia (if not bigger) made entirely of expo centers and computer shop buildings... Found me a cool Graphics Tablet (Wacom Bamboo)... YAY!!
for dinner we went to one of the three famous restaurants that serve the famous (hence the reason for their fame) Beijung Duck... The duck was great, although somewhat little... The thing was good-sized, but the cook that de-boned it left about 80% of it on the bones...
Today was an easy day... My dad and sis stayed in the hotel room while my mum and me visited the last temple in our check list- the The Temple of Heaven... It was a cool place, made for offerings to the Gods... Well... That's just about it... Van't really think of anything signifficant to add... Today we fly back to DOHA (actually it's about 1 a.m tomorrow, but....) There we'll spend the rest of the day and the next night we'll be flying back to Bulgaria and from then on- Varna!!
Well... That's me- Akutou, from Beijing, on my final day here... Can't wait for departing...
